Vent-A-Loo Project

Plumb Tomatoes Ltd won the Heathrow Engineering Awards 2019 for the innovative Vent-A-Loo project within T5 and T2. Heathrow believes in creating great customer experience, and their ethos is “Making every journey better”.

We offered Heathrow the innovative Vent-A-Loo system to improve the customer experience throughout all the customer facing washrooms within T5 and T2.

Sometimes the customer experience is not about what you notice but is about what you don’t notice. No one likes an unpleasant customer experience with bad smells and odours. Vent-A-Loo tackles a common problem faced in any commercial washroom. The lack of adequate ventilation in toilets can be embarrassing and offensive. Vent-A-Loo is an internal toilet exhaust fan system that tackles the lack of adequate ventilation in toilets.

Water Optimisation

Plumb Tomatoes Ltd offers our clients the opportunity to optimise their water consumption within commercial buildings. We have delivered solutions for our clients that have given them significant water savings on both their constant water flow and their occasional water flow. Typically, any building greater than 5 years old will be inefficient and has the potential to make significant water savings.

On the example below we have reduced the constant water flow, and some of the occasional consumed flow on a 2-storey building with 15 occupants.  From the chart below it can be seen that the average water consumption per day was approx. 1.90m3. Once the project work was completed the total usage dropped to just under 0.5m3 water consumption per day. This is approx. 1.4m3 per day saving. Giving an annual saving of approximately 522m3. This equated to £850 saving per annum on their water bill.
